IMPLEMENTATION STEPS

PHASE EXPLANATION
Pupils' existing knowledge Pupils already know how to collect data using tally table.
Project Description
  • This is a group project.
  • Teacher explains about the project and what pupils need to do.
Project Implementation Day 1 :
Teacher briefs about the project. Pupils will interpret tally table.
Day 2 :
Pupils will construct the pictographs/bar charts. Pupils need to find the suitable scales.
Day 3 :
Pupils will present their pictographs/bar charts to interpret the pictographs/bar charts.
Reporting and Presentation Each group will present their work. They may do creatively to achieve more score. Here, develop students’ speaking skill and creativity skill.
Evaluation and Assessment Teacher asks questions during the presentation to evaluate pupils. Pupils are also evaluate during the group work.

Activities
  1. Pupils listen to the teacher's explanation of the content of the lesson and its relevance to the topic of the lesson. 
  2. Pupils sit in a group and interpret the tally table given. 
  3. Pupils will decide the suitable scales to be used and the chart that they want to create. Pupils will construct vertical bar chart, horizontal bar chart or pictograph 
  4. Pupils in group will start to construct the bar chart/pictograph. 
  5.  Pupils will do a presentation on their work. 
  6. Teacher will ask questions related to the chart created to check pupils understanding
